Blossom and Butterflies with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone.

It's time for a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow

This fortnight our theme is Blossom and Butterflies.

Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I've used the cd I got with the Crafters Companion magazine featuring Bebunni.
I've added some butterflies made using peel offs on acetate, adding glitter to the underside. I've added a doily, some ribbon and a small tag to finish off.

I hope you'll come and join us. If you're interested in joining the design team we're on the look out for 2 new members. Just add DT after your name to be considered.

Happy crafting

A Sudoku Happy Birthday

Hi everyone.

Sorry I haven't been around much. My fibromyalgia has been acting up for the last couple of weeks. I've managed to get a couple of cards made in the last few days though. The one I'm going to share today is the one I've made for my Dad's birthday, which is today. He loves Sudoku puzzles...

This is made up of one large black square and 9 small white squares, all cut using Tattered Lace dies. I've cut the numbers using a Disney Minnie Mouse die set. This rather annoyingly cuts the numbers the wrong way round ie the good surface is on the back. I had to run the numbers through with a rubber sheet to flatten them. Usually the dies are reversed so when you take them out the good side will make them the right way round, these are not. Anyhow, I've added some acetate over the top of the card, wrapping round at the top and bottom of the card to which I've added the sentiments.

Spring time with Sparkles Monthly Challenges

Hi everyone.

There's a new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges.
Our theme for this month is Spring...using at least 5 flowers on your creation.

Here's my little bit of inspiration...

The image is from the Makey Bakey Mice cd. My best friend Sue very kindly made me loads of flowers for my birthday last month so I used 6 of them on here. Finishing touches include some turquoise ribbon, a LOTV sentiment and a Tattered Lace die cut watering can. There's also a doily under the image.

It's not easy to see on the photo but I've also added glitter accents to the flowers on the image.

I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and take a look at the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

You could win one of our fabulous prizes...

7 Digi Stamps

or

Goody Bag (UK only due to postage)

Thank you so much for visiting. I hope to see you again soon.

A little humour with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone.

I hope you're all well.

There's a new challenge starting today at Ruby's Rainbow. Our theme for this fortnight is Humour.
I've made a card using a very cute Rachelle Anne Miller stamp called Love EWE...

I just loved the sentiment although I'm not sure if I dare send it to anyone, lol.

I've coloured the image using Copics and added some glitter to the fleece using a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

I've added some green ribbon to compliment the grass and lift the whole card. I've then finished off with the cheeky sentiment raised on foam pads.

I hope you like it. Click on the badge below to be taken to the challenge where you can see the fabulous inspiration from the rest of the team...

A Mario birthday card

Hi everyone.

I'd like to share a card with you today which I made after finding inspiration on Pinterest.

He's made up of Ovals cut with a tattered lace die set.
The moustache has been embossed with a mask. The sentiment is LOTV.

I've inked the edges of the nose and the cap to add depth.

I would like to share the card I was inspired by with you. It was made by Leena Girsa, who very kindly gave me her permission to blog my card, and was shared on her blog here. I've started to follow her blog so I don't miss any more of her fantastic cards. You really should take a look.
