Happy Anniversary

Hi everyone, I've been playing with some new toys, purchased with that wonderful $50 win from Simon Says Stamp. I spent my winnings on a Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms die set, a Nellie's doily die and a rubber stamp. I've been trying out the dies this afternoon...

The backing paper is Dovecraft, from their Charcoal prints and everything else is made with plain cardstock. I've added a bow and some pearls at the corners, which have been punched with a Martha Stewart corner punch. I used a peeloff for the sentiment.

The flower is really simple to make. Cut it, emboss it and roll it up! Love it....

The Lovely Lisa

Hi everyone, hope you're all well and enjoying this glorious weather. After a gallon of after sun my sunburn is now at plate warming heat rather than egg frying heat....

Today I thought I'd make a page for my scrapbook, something I haven't done in ages. The subject of my scrapbook is my gorgeous Labrador Lisa, kennel name Bell Bow Lisa. I took this photo on my phone ages ago (wow, just looked up when it was taken - 23rd Feb 2011). I must scrapbook more often!
I've had a couple of pet 12x12 kits in my stash for years so most of the elements come from these kits. I've added glitter and bling to various parts which you'll see better in the close-ups. I've added a few bits from my stash (2 biscuits, a paperclip, a metal pawprint and some ribbon. All the bling has been added with a heat setter and I used a stencil which came free with papercraft essentials for the loveheart.

Thanks for visiting, one day I'll share some of the other pages with you.

Cupcake and flourish 18th

Hi everyone, I'm back to share a card I've made for my daughter to give to one of her friends who is turning 18 at the weekend.

The image is Bugaboo, coloured with promarkers and sakura glitter pens (the cupcakes are glittery). I coloured the cupcake wrappers to match the dress. I also coloured some self adhesive pearls using a promarker and added these to the corners of the image panel. The backing paper is from the Pink Parfait Forever Friends pack. I used matching lime green card to make the card base and all the matting, flourish, flowers etc. The flourish is by Cheery Lynn and called Tropical Flourish. I've drawn a border on the pink panel using a green Sakura pen and made flowers using both the pink and the green, adding small green flowers to the pink panel. I used a Spellbinders die to mount the number, which is a glittery peel off. Here are some more piccies...

Driving Test Congratulations

Hi everyone, hope you're all well. Thank goodness it's not so hot today...I'm sure you could still fry eggs on my sunburn from Saturday! That'll teach me to remember the suncream next time... On the plus side, it takes your mind off your fibromyalgia!

Anyhow, I want to share a card with you which I made for my daughter's best friend, who passed her driving test first time last week. They met at a toddler group in our village and have been best friends ever since, it seems strange that they're both driving now...makes me feel old!

I just loved this backing paper, and even though it came from a paper pack called Just for him, I thought it was ideal. I cut it with a deckle edge to fit the scalloped card base and inked the edges with faded jeans distress ink. I used a Forever Friends stamp from the New Arrival set to stamp the bunting onto flowery paper from the capsule collection, adding punched flowers with gem centres to make it even more girlie. I made the sentiment using word and matted it in a journalling syle with blue card. I then made some flowers using punches and added gems to the centres.

Craft Your Passion #112

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well. I'm here to share my last piece as a guest designer for Craft Your Passions. This week the challenge is 'For a Baby' with the optional extra of stitching. I've used a 'Patties's Creations Digital Stamps' image called 'Little Girl Dress 1', which I've coloured with promarkers. I made a panel using pink card, which I edged with a Martha Stewart round the page cherry blossom punch. I hand stitched this panel to the pink swirly backing paper (DCWV) which I cut with a deckle edge and edged with spun sugar distress ink. I cut the word Baby using my cricut.
I hope you'll pop over to Craft Your Passion and join us for your chance to win one of these great prizes

Prize 2 digi stamps

and
Prize : $25 Surprise Package (US & Canada Only)

I look forward to seeing your wonderful creations. As I said earlier, this is my final card as a guest designer for Craft Your Passion and I must say I've enjoyed it. If you get the chance to be a guest designer give it a go. You won't regret it. Thanks to the Design Team for giving me this chance.

More weight loss plaques

Hi everyone, I hope you're enjoying the sunshine. I'm hiding from it today....I spent yesterday gardening and forgot to put sun cream on....ouch. That coupled with my fibrmyalgia means I'm very sore today so I'm taking it easy. My hubby has gone to an air show and my daughter has gone to the seaside so it's just me and the dog at home....craft room it is then!

A couple of weeks ago I won a small wooden plaque in a raffle at Slimming World, the idea being that you chalked on it your weight loss for that week and then your overall weight loss. Knowing that I love craft it was suggested that I might be able to create something similar so if you look at a previous post you'll see my first attempt. I've added a strip of magnet tape to the back so you can either hang it by the ribbon loop or put it on the fridge.  I've since added a bit of bling to the first one and made several more including a plainer, masculine one so here are some piccies...

Hi everyone, I'm excited to announce that this is my debut piece as a member of the design team at Aud Sentiments.

I'm honoured to have been chosen to join such a lovely team. Our challenge for this fortnight is to use 'Any sentiment'.

I've coloured with promarkers and added a tropical flourish (Cheery Lynn) and a flower made up of a couple of Dovecraft flowers, a punched one and a brad. The backing papers are called Summer Goodness by Raspberry Road Designs and were a freebie with Quick Cards magazine. The sentiment is computer generated.

New Baby Boy

Hi everyone, I've had a fun morning mooching round a couple of craft shops looking for supplies to make more of my weight loss charts. Washing's on the line and more on the go so now I get a bit of craft time (just for a change, hehe). I'm really pleased to have won a $50 voucher for Simon says stamp this morning, and thanks to my friend Sue for letting me know, even if she did catch me in a craft shop when I'm supposed to be on a shopping ban! We're saving for a show in July.....

Anyhow, here's my card to share....

It's a lovely Forever Friends stamp which I've coloured with promarkers and added glamour dust to the nappy. I cut out the image and mounted it on a spellbinders die cut. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. The backing paper is from the Crafters Companion Souffle cd and is edged with Faded Jeans distress ink and matted on the same blue card as the sentiment. I've added 3 small buttons and a bow from my stash. I've kept it clean and simple as I wanted the image to be the focal point.
I would like to enter this in the following:-
Less is more - Baby or child
Fussy and fancy - new baby
I love promarkers - use die cuts
Allsorts - buttons and bows
Cute card Thursday - a touch of sparkle

Hope you like it. Thanks for looking. I'm going to try out another version of my weight loss chart using magnets....see you again soon.

My weight loss journey

Hi, I'm back again, this time I want to share a project with you which isn't a card. I'm a target member with Slimming World and was asked if I could make something to encourage other members with their weight loss. Here's what I made....
The panels have acetate layered in them which can be written on with a dry wipe pen. I used Spellbinders dies to cut the shapes and added a couple of doilies. Here's a few more piccies...

This is just the prototype, I have other ideas, including a masculine version. This is one of those projects where the photos don't really do it justice, it looks better 'in the flesh'.

I would like to enter this for LEJ Designs - anything but a card

Thanks for looking. Happy crafting

Dexter with ice cream

Hi everyone, I'm here to share a Christmas card I've just made for Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge - a touch of the blues.

I've used a Pollycraft image of a little penguin called Dexter, which I've coloured using promarkers and added pink and lemon glitter to the icecream, glamour dust to Dexter and his hat and coloured the snowflake on the ice cream with a sakura glitter pen.

The backing papers are from my stash but I'm not sure exactly what they are. I've cut them using Spellbinders labels three and inked the edges with Faded Jeans distress ink. I've also added some sticky ribbon and a snowflake attached with a brad. The card blank is a small 4x4, by Anita, but it was just right for this card.

I would also like to enter this for Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge - anything goes plus ribbon

I hope you like him, I think he's quite cute. Thanks for visiting. I hope to see you again soon.

Craft Your Passion Challenge #111 - A sketch

Hi everyone, it's time for another challenge over at Craft your passion challenges. This week we're giving you a sketch as inspiration.
We're being sponsored by Simon says stamp, Robyn's Fetish and The Robin's Nest. For my card I've used a lovely Robin's Fetish image called 'A little birdie told me'....
I've taken my colours from the gorgeous Daisy and Dandelion lovingly yours backing paper. The mat for the image was cut using my cricut and the flowers made with a couple of punches with gems added. Everything has been edged with Faded Jeans distress ink. The sentiment was printed onto white paper and coloured with promarkers, as was the image. I added lace, buttons and a small punched butterfly to finish off.

I hope you'll join us this week, I'm looking forward to seeing what you all create. I love to see how everyone interprets sketches....

I would like to enter this for:-
